ArtistDirect: Hello everyone, please enter. Today we're here at the Ozzfest chatting with Static-X, the guys whose debut LP "Wisconsin Death Trip" gave new rock insights into the dark American heartland. So come on in, they're ready to talk about the road and more.

Janislis: Can you tell a difference in being on the Main Stage this year and being 2nd Stage last year?

Wayne: The main stage is different because most of the crowd is really far away, so it's very different.

Sternchen: When did you all first decide you wanted to be in a band?

Wayne: I decided when I was seven years old. I always wanted to be in a band, and KISS really influenced me.

NeoNion: Are there any meanings behind the songs on "Wisconsin Death Trip"?

Wayne: Yeah, some of them are loosely based on real life stories. Some of them are just expressing frustration.

Twinkle: What did you like best about performing at Ozzfest?

Wayne: I think I like best just being able to see all the other bands every day, and hang out with them. It's a lot of the behind the scenes kind of stuff that I like, the making friends.

Symmy: Ok guys, I wanna know. What do your parents think of the band. Have they been supportive? What about the language?

Wayne: All of our parents are very supportive, and all of our parents come out to the shows when we are near our hometowns. And they always wear band T-shirts and everything like that. You know, it's like we're big boys now, and a few cuss words aren't going to hurt anything.

SSSKELDING: Do you enjoy being out on the road, or do you miss your girlfriends and families?

Wayne: I enjoy being on the road, some parts of it, but it is a very different kind of lifestyle, and you don't have a lot of privacy, and I do miss being home a lot, so I try to get home at least once a month.

Abbafan: What do u think of bands that are more rap than metal like P.O.D., Limp Bizkit, Kid Rock, and Methods of Mayhem?

Wayne: I'm not a huge fan of rap style, but some of it's good. I like all kinds of music if it's done well. Myself, I'm not very good at rapping, and that's why we don't do any of that ourselves.

EZGuest113: Do you guys plan to tour again any time shortly after Ozzfest?

Wayne: We're planning to do another U.S. tour right around when our next record comes out, which will be probably in April, May, June, next year, somewhere in there.
