Body-For-LIFE: Welcome to Body-for-LIFE.com's Chats with Champions. Tonight's guests are Body-for-LIFE Grand Champions, David and Susan Ware. Together, they lost 66 pounds of fat and gained 17 pounds of muscle, completely changing their bodies and lives in the process. Thank you for joining us and spending time with us tonight.

David And Susan: First we'd like to thank EAS for letting us be a part of this chat. Also, we'd like to thank everyone for joining us tonight. We've benefited so much through the Body-for-LIFE Challenge, and we know you will too.

Oliver: Did you have a personal trainer and a gym?

David: No, we did not use a personal trainer and we did not go to a gym. We worked out in our garage and we followed the Body-for-LIFE book as outlined. Through the cardio and the weight training program, we pretty much followed the Body-for-LIFE book as outlined.

Yellowman: What do you feel is the best thing about the Challenge?

David: We think the best thing about the Challenge is that we regained our health and self-confidence, and by doing the Challenge together as a couple, we gained a new respect for each other. It was actually a family affair in that our boys were there with us to help us out with the Challenge as well. So our whole family got involved in the Challenge.

SuziQ: I just started the program, and there are a bunch of people who doubt me and joke about the program. Did you experience this? If so, how did you overcome it?

Susan: Yes, actually we did. We had a few people laugh at us. We were skeptical ourselves, but it made us want to try harder.

David: Knowing all the other people who took the Challenge with great results, we felt that if we just followed the plan and the book and focused on our goals, hopefully we'd have great results too like the others.

Rafael: At what point did you see the most results?

Susan: We saw the most results toward the end of our Challenge. You'd be amazed at what happens in the last two weeks of your Challenge. Actually in the beginning is when you're losing the fat and building muscle. In the last two weeks, you start seeing the muscle that you've built for the last 12 weeks.

Raena: Do you two have any kids or a job? If so, how did you find the time?

Susan: Yes, we have three boys, and we both work full time. We made sure we did our planning. We knew we were going to commit to do this, so we designated times during the day when we'd work out. Our boys helped by taking our phone calls, and they helped with the housework so we would have time to do our workouts. That's another reason why it was so convenient that we used our garage as our workout area.

David: The most important part is planning and focusing on our goals; just knowing that we committed ourselves to completing the Challenge and knowing it would be well worth it in the end.

ChaCha: What made you start the Challenge?

David: We accepted the Challenge because we were unhealthy, overweight, and in the worst shape of our lives, and we wanted to do something about that. We also wanted to set good examples to our three boys and change our habits and regain our health. When we found out about the Body-for-LIFE program, we felt this was the ideal program to regain our health. I had high cholesterol at the time prior to the Challenge, and I lowered my cholesterol significantly by the end of the Challenge.
