Gary: Thank you, first of all. The toughest obstacle for me was organization, and becoming organized. You should anticipate problems--they should not surprise you. So you should have back up plans and strategies no matter how good your organization is.

Amy: For example, on an organizational level for us, having our son, and both of us working, we had to juggle time. That's what's so great about Body-For-LIFE. You're committing to a 45 minutes strength training workout and a 20-minute aerobic solution. You're not required to work out two to three hours a day. That's the great part of this simple program.

Rick: Amy & Gary, Congratulations on your transformations! During your 12 weeks as you both started seeing changes in your bodies, were you tempted to increase your aerobics in order to lose body fat faster or did you stick to the Body-for-Life book outline? Thank You!

Gary: No we didn't, for the simple fact that it's easy to over-train. When you over-train, most likely you get injured. And that leads to greater setbacks. Plus, you burn the most fat after workouts, during rest and recovery, not during a workout. Your body grows, and your body gets leaner as you rest, not as you train.

Amy: Yes! I was tempted to increase my cardio and I did on occasion. I love to run, and I increased my cardio, usually once a week, through a five-mile run. And after I completed the program, I increased my cardio even more, and completed a marathon. You have to do what you like!

Eva: What would be the most important and most valuable thing you would you say to someone just starting the program?

Amy: Take the picture! It's embarrassing, it's devastating, it always looks awful, but it's very motivating. Some people say they'll do the program, but they don't want to enter the challenge, and then they have great results and they wish they had the pictures. Boy, am I glad I did!

Gary: I would say plan to combine all forces--exercise, nutrition, and supplementation--don't leave anything out. Let all systems fire, baby! Let it rip!

Docmel: Congratulations! Did you both write down everything that you ate and also what were some meals that you'd consume throughout the week in addition to the shakes?

Amy: Yes, we did both write down everything for about the first two weeks. We compared it side to side--what we planned and what we actually ate. We ate six meals a day, including Myoplex shake. As for recipes, we have an article coming out in the November issue of Muscle Media. Pick it up!

Brenda: How many challenges did it take you to get to where you are at now?

Gary: I personally have done three. The first one being the ones that got us the championship. The second twelve weeks to increase in mass and strength, which I did. Now the third challenge is to be able to complete the Chicago marathon.

Amy: I've done two. One was the first one with my husband, and the second one was with a friend. The third one I should be starting soon. I continue on a maintenance program. Challenge number three?
