BodyForLIFE: Welcome to Body-for-LIFE.com's Chats with Champions. Tonight's guest is 1999 Body-for-LIFE Champion Allen Bieber from Tucson, Arizona. This Body-for-LIFE Champion improved his health, gained energy and decreased his body fat by 27%. Allen, thank you for joining and spending time with us tonight.

Allen Bieber: I would like to welcome everybody tonight, and thank everybody for giving me this opportunity, especially my friends at EAS. So, let's hear the questions!

RagingWahoo: Did you ever miss any workouts in your 12-week challenge? Did you meet all your goals?

Allen Bieber: I completed the challenge twice, and I never missed a workout or a meal. I believe it's just like Bill says - if you fail to plan, plan to fail.

Tony: It is very hard for me to keep up to 6 meals a day. Sometimes I don't even know what to have or what to eat? What did you do?

Allen Bieber: Good evening, Tony, thanks for joining us. Basically, what saved me was Myoplex shakes. I did three shakes a day and three meals. It made it easy for me - they were actually a Godsend. Basically, I followed the nutrition plan in "Body For LIFE". Lucky for me, I am a creative cook - almost like an in-home chef - so it's easy for me to come up with different recipes and make it interesting.

Steve: What if I can't afford expensive exercise equipment to get started on Body For LIFE?

Allen Bieber: Hello, Steve, and thanks for joining us. Steve, I would suggest that you look into the options of perhaps joining a commercial gym in your area. If one is not available, you can accomplish most exercises in "Body For LIFE" with powerblocks and a combination incline-decline flat bench. I would suggest, my first choice would be to look into the commercial gym situation. It's a bigger support group and a wider variety of equipment, and is relatively inexpensive on a month-to-month basis.

Gina: Any tips for losing the last bit of fat? I'm starting week 10 Monday.

Allen Bieber: Good evening, Gina. I would suggest that you watch your nutrition program very closely the last two weeks. There is a great article in Muscle Media by Shaun Phillips that advises that you increase the amount of cardio you do throughout the week to increase the fat-burning. I would suggest that you increase the duration of the cardio solution, and maybe add another day of cardio. I would also suggest flexing each muscle group after your final exercise as a way to get even harder or more toned.
