Boxtop presents Actor Nate Richert May 07, 1998 Actor Nate Richert discusses his role as Harvey Kinkle on ABC’s hit show, “Sabrina”. JaxCCC: TalkCity Presents(tm), in association with BOXTOP LIVE(tm) Welcomes You! Tonight please welcome our special guest Nate Richert. Nate is here to chat about his role of Harvey Kinkle on the hit show “Sabrina”, and all his other endeavors. Lets welcome to TalkCity Nate Richert! NateR: Hello everyone! Terminator: Was “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” your first TV debut or did you star in commercials as a kid or something? NateR: A few commercials I did that were regional I did a pilot that never sold , but I did do a commercial for Kelloggs Corn Pops and Ohio Arts as a kid. Simonsays: What is like working with Melissa? NateR: Great! She is a normal everyday person. Besides all the magic and hexes you see on the show, we hang out quite a bit. Lawnchair: What is the most enjoyable part about working on "Sabrina"? NateR: Everyday is something new. We do it week by week and never know what the show will be like until we get to the new script on Monday morning. Sabrinafan: Are you anything like Harvey in real life? NateR: Well that all depends on who is writing the script that particular week! It depends, some days he has no clue and then some days he knows all the answers. Tommygun: Have you helped with any organizations like most teen actors and actresses do? NateR: Yes there have been a lot of charity events that the show sponsors, such as contests in magazines where the people write in and then we contribute. I also did a flood relief event and something for the Cancer Foundation. Alterego: So what will you do for the summer? Any upcoming projects in the works? NateR: I took most of last summer off. But I plan to go to Minnesota, Chicago and Missouri, both vacation and visiting friends. I hope there will be some new projects upcoming. Terracotta: How much input do you have on the direction your character goes? NateR: Well if there is a line you think the character would say differently, you can discuss that with the writers but overall you usually just stick to the script, and do the part how the writers describe. Gardener: Have you ever had any really funny bloopers while filming? Could you tell us about them? NateR: Yes we have. Sabrina once zapped me into a star football player and I was suppose to block someone into a locker and then keep running up the hall. I never made it to the guy I was suppose to block I slipped and fell over and caused a stir. Meriwidow: If YOU could write the dream script for the show, what would it be about? What would Harvey do? NateR: I have no ability to write so, I really admire the writers we have on the show for being so creative. My part as Harvey is basically to support the main character Sabrina, so the part is somewhat limited in that way. We did do an episode early last year when I did some dancing. But I am moving less and less in that path.
