Robinccc: Hello Tsianina and welcome to Talk City! What an honor to win the 1997 Fitness America Competition. What was your training routine like for that tournament? Tsianina: Hello! For me, my routine was focusing on my physical features I need to work out in the weight room and building up my symmetry. I worked out between 4-6 days a week. I did everything myself, I never used a personal trainer I learned a lot from reading health and fitness magazines. I lived in a small town that did not have much access to weight and workout centers. Piccolo-peet: How do you like working on MTV? Is it fun? Do you meet any famous people? Tsianina: Working on MTV is great. I really enjoy it very much. I work with Michael Bergin from Baywatch who is a Calvin Klein supermodel and he is great! And also DJ-Scribble who has 2 new CDs out and is very talented He has worked with many big names. Also I have met Carson and Jesse -most of the regulars from MTV. We are in Seaside Heights in New Jersey and the show is taped live everyday so watch us. Lovechick: How do you pronounce your name? Tsianina: You can read it as "Cha-nee-na". Sistbra: Was it hard getting onto MTV, and fitness championships, when did you start?, and why? Tsianina: I started training last February for Fitness America. I had a lot of dance experience. I had gotten married and moved to a really small town called Sutherland, Oregon because we opened a motel there. I saw Fitness America on television and called and found out when the competitions were starting and began my training. Hello: What do you have to do to be eligible to enter the Fitness America Competition? Tsianina: They have regional competitions all over the United States, my region was in San Diego, California. It is open to all women all over the US I competed against women that are all ages from the teens to the 30's. Woman can compete in all ages and be married or single. Next year they are expanding and going world-wide. Runner: What is different about the Daily Burn in comparison to other exercise type shows? What audience do you appeal to? Tsianina: Thanks runner! Daily Burn appeals to a younger crowd from teenage to college to young adult. We stress exercise as having fun. We try to mix up dancing and music and exercise together. It’s all about having fun. On the end of the show we have what is called "The Free Burn" where we just let it all loose.
