Speaker: Talk City Presents(tm), in association with iXl Live(tm), welcomes you to a conversation with our special guest James Reynolds.

Speaker1: Welcome to Talk City James! Of all the work you've done in theatre, film and TV, what has been the most challenging for you?

James Reynolds: Oh gosh! The most challenging will be the next thing I do. Challenges come to you periodically, and once you've done them they cease to be a challenge. So I'm looking forward to whatever is next!

Softsoap: Do the different networks, ABC, CBS etc. treat their soap operas differently? Is there a plus to working daytime TV?

James Reynolds: I think there are a lot of pluses to working daytime TV! I think each network does have a different way of treating its cast and crews. Perhaps each production company has a different way of doing it, but we're all treated very well. I think we should all consider ourselves very fortunate to be allowed to perform in daytime television. The night time people may be a bit more spoiled than we are!

Steplove: How long do you plan to be on Days of our Lives?

James Reynolds: Well, I recently signed a new contract that will take me into the next century, and we'll see beyond that. I've been there a couple of times now, and it totals fifteen years. In terms of daytime careers there are many, many people who eclipse that!

Stefanodemera: I read recently you would like your character to become more involved with "Lexi" Has this been accomplished? I recently heard a rumor of a baby coming into the story

James Reynolds: Well gee! I'm glad to hear the rumor! I'm hopeful that will happen, but sometimes rumors come true - and I hope that yours will. There are so many different ways the character could go, and I've thought of them all. I would certainly like to see a child come into the Carver family, and I'd like to see Abe become involved in a little more action and adventure.

Elevatorshews: Since you’re the policeman that has to solve all the intrigue, do you ever know ahead of time "whodunnit" or do you have to wait for the scripts?

James Reynolds: I have to wait for the scripts. Sometimes I might know, but usually I have to wait. It's difficult to say how the plot is going to go, because that was done well ahead of time, but we have a lot to say about how our characters react to certain situations. Also, fortunately the producers on the show are very attuned to what you have to say, and what contributions you'd like to make.
