Checkout: Welcome to a chat with singer, songwriter and producer Debelah Morgan. Her new album "Dance with Me" was released on August 15th on Atlantic Records. Send in your questions for Debelah about making this album with her brother, and her Mall tour in which all of her shows are free! Welcome, Debelah Morgan!

Debelah: Thank you for having me! I look forward to answering questions that people want to know about me.

Toni: What are your hobbies and interests?

Debelah: I would have to say that outside of singing, I love going to the movies, I love reading, I love hiking, I love nature, and probably sleeping!

Petra: What is your most memorable moment in all of your years in music?

Debelah: My most memorable moment in all of my years of music? Gosh, I would have to say when I sang with Stevie Wonder at a wedding, and it was an amazing experience, because we both seemed to tune out everything, or at least I did. We started doing like really intricate harmonies together, and it was so much fun. Afterwards, he told me how much he loved doing that with me, and I would have to say that was one of my most incredible moments.

Stay3: What made you decide to become a singer?

Debelah: Well, music for me started when I was 4 years old, with the piano, and I started singing when I was 8. When I was 11, my parents put me in classical training, and then soon after I went to a fine arts high school, and I guess with my whole life dedicated to music, it seemed like the obvious thing for me to do, I couldn't think to do anything else.

Frack714: Hey Debelah, I would just like to say you are great and that I wish you all the luck in the world. I am on your online street team, and I'm sure that everyone on there wished you luck as well. But my question is, do you ever get compared to people like Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera? And if you do, how does it make you feel? Also, if you could be compared to anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

Debelah: Thank you for your wonderful compliments, and for being on the team. I've never been compared to Britney, but I think a lot of people consider me in the similar category with Christina Aguilera, since we are both part of a batch of new singers, but I don't mind that at all. And if I could be compared to anyone, I guess I think it would be Aretha Franklin, because she is a singer/songwriter/piano player. She also was on another record label, and they wanted her to sing a different style of music, and when she was signed by Atlantic, they allowed her to be the Aretha that we know and love today, and that is what happened with me. I was on another label, but when Atlantic signed me at the beginning of the year, they were happy with me being who I am.
