Send in your questions for Tom about what we can expect in future episodes. "Live Through This" airs on Wednesday nights at 10PM on MTV. Welcome, Tom! Tom Lock: Yeah, this is Tom. I'm very happy to be here. Anybody out there that wants to, fire away - ask me anything! Watergirl: When did you develop an interest for acting? Tom Lock: Actually, I developed an interest in acting a few years ago when I was 18 and I was hurt very badly playing hockey, which is something that I had done my whole life. And when I couldn't play anymore, I decided to start pursuing something else. I broke my ankle very badly. Up to that point, I had only done one school play. Coffeebean: Tom, have you had any formal training? If so, where? Tom Lock: I actually chose to keep my training separate from school. I just graduated from Columbia University in New York. However, the entire time I was in school I studied outside with a private coach. I am actually shooting the series out of the country, so it has been difficult to keep in touch right now. Philly: How has the pursuit of your acting career affected your life, in general; i.e., friends, family, etc.? Are they supportive? Tom Lock: Oh, yes, absolutely very supportive. I have to tell you the truth. They were a little bit surprised to say the least when I told them my life plans were changing from what I always thought I was going to do. It came out of left field. And is not something that I thought of to do. They were very supportive, especially my mom. I was this melodramatic little kid, which they saw some time ago. LockeCole3: Who was your role model growing up? Tom Lock: I had a few. The first person that comes to mind is actually my mother. She raised a family, helped my father go through school, and started her own business, all at a very young age. I just watched a woman make everything work for everyone around her. I've always admired that tremendously. As a young hockey player, I'd have to say Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky certainly fit in there somewhere. In my later years, as an actor, I have a million of them. I like different people's work for different reasons. I can't even narrow it down beyond that.
