Log on at www.cosmogirl.com Welcome Selma! Selma Blair: Thank you. I'm just glad to be here. It's a nice way to spend my afternoon. Crazy4horses: What made you decide to get into acting? Selma Blair: You know, I was originally a very serious horseback rider, and I had a couple of falls and hurt myself pretty badly. I wound up in acting classes figuring out what I was going to do, and an agent saw me, and that was it. Barbrafanatic: How did you get to be on CosmoGIRL's cover? What is that like? Selma Blair: I don't know how I got to be on it; bless the powers at CosmoGIRL! for asking me. It's been my favorite cover so far. I just thought they did a great job and everyone was wonderful over there. And they let me keep my dress from the cover. Tom 004: Do you like men in uniform? Selma Blair: I like all men! Yeah, uniforms are fine by me. Ttus212: Hi Selma, who was the best onscreen kisser? Selma Blair: I'd have to say it's - I guess Freddie. Freddie is a very special guy and he's a good friend, so it would be him. Luckybreak: I heard you ride horses. What type of riding do you do and how long have you been doing it for? Selma Blair: I do English Show Jumping, and I've been doing it for about eight years. I also do dressage now. Sigmagirl: Do you get recognized everywhere you go? Does it ever get annoying? Selma Blair: I don't get recognized by grownups that much, only by kids and teenagers, and I usually like it unless I look awful that day. But usually everybody is really nice. It's a nice way to meet people. It's all good. Kellie Says: What is it like kissing your leading man in front of all those cameras? Selma Blair: (laughing) Not as good as it would be if we weren't in front of all those cameras! But you know, the kissing stuff isn't too personal when you're acting. So it's a little awkward, but we have each other so we can laugh about it. Chocoholic: Do you still shop at The Gap? Where do you like to shop? Selma Blair: I still do shop at The Gap. I worked there for a while, so I get a few bad memories of my long hours unpacking there. But now, I shop very seldom. I now just buy a couple of nice things, and wear them over and over. I really like Ralph Lauren, and things that are not trendy. Trends don't look good on me, so I have to be careful. Bubberand: Who are your favorite actors? Selma Blair: My favorite actors are my two best friends, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Jason Schwartzman. They're my best friends and they happen to be my favorite actors, so lucky girl. Sigmagirl: What are the differences between working in TV and film? Which do you prefer? Selma Blair: I am happy at either one. TV is like school for me - it's comfortable and I have all my friends there. Then doing movies is like the great adventure you get to have on summer break. I love them both and I've managed to keep my friends from film and TV, so I'm very happy. Valerie Says: You are so beautiful. What is your secret? Selma Blair: Sleep is my secret. Thank you so much, that's so nice for someone to say that. I'm not used to hearing that. I guess sleep and friends to cry on their shoulder so you don't have to bottle it in. And a good smile. And lots of baths, you know, like bubble baths.
