Jacqueline Azria-Palumbo: I don't know how many you are, but I am really happy to answer all your questions, and I hope there are a lot of people, a lot of questions - I can't wait, so let's start! Kazzidy: What colors are hot for prom dresses this year? Jacqueline Azria-Palumbo: Well this year you have different kinds of categories, but I would say a lot of metallics are really in - a little bit more glamorous. Then you have a lot of pastels, too - pastels like blues, light pinks, lilacs.it's very, very happening. Silver, glittery, shiny, a little bit more glamorous, that's really hot now, too. But, of course, you still have the black, but I don't say that's really something happening because that's always there; however, a lot of girls still love to wear black - it is always there. Karla: My dress is strapless and I would like to wear some sort of necklace with it. What kind of jewelry do you think would look best and what's in style this season? Jacqueline Azria-Palumbo: Let's see. I would say a lot of things, like pendants that are kind of skinny and go really low on the cleavage, little beads - that's really happening; this is really nice and a lot of girls love to wear them, either in pastel colors or in silver - really pretty. Not too chunky and not too big, but you still have the chokers - that's really nice, too. Sometimes they are a little bit thick, but still made with beads - nothing really chunky. It's always very pretty, girly, very delicate looking, nothing chunky, nothing big - it's all very light and very pretty. And a lot of pastels, too, in the jewelry.lots of pastels. And some silver, too. But for the prom I would say a lot of pastel colors are really nice - pastel beads and little pastel stones - this is really happening right now. Glitterbug: I want to use sparkly makeup and body glitter, but I don't want to look like one big shiny mess. How do I do it without overdoing it? Jacqueline Azria-Palumbo: Well, you know, usually those products, when you put them on, usually don't leave much on. Usually there's just some sparkles in a gel product and when you put it on the body it's very subtle, so it shouldn't be a big shiny blob on you - it should be subtle. It's easy now with everything gold in the beauty stores, and there is nothing thick as a product, but if you don't apply tons of it, usually it should be easy to be very subtle-looking. It's the same on the eyes, or maybe you want to put a little bit of iridescent highlight on the cheeks - maybe a little bit of pastel colors that are a little bit shimmery - this is really nice. You can put it on the eyes and the cheeks - if you stay in the pinks this is really, really pretty. You can go from the cheeks to the eyelid and it's really nice; gives a nice shimmer to the face without it being too costumey or extreme. And you have all those products that are usable for everything - you can put them on the eyes, the cheeks, the lips, and they give a shimmer to the whole face. And you have tons of pastel colors to choose from. I always say pinks because it's really pretty on the face, so if you use that product on the lips, cheeks, and eyes, it is easy to use because they are usually very pretty. They usually are creams and just glide on.
