AlphaGirl: My face is covered with freckles. How can I cover them up? Genevieve: I would say first of all, why would you want to cover up your beautiful freckles? They're part of who you are, and part of your pretty skin. If they make you uncomfortable there are sheer foundations or tinted moisturizers that can help even your skin tone out a bit, and tone down your freckles just slightly, without looking like you're trying to cover things up. I'd recommend trying either Neutrogena tinted moisturizer, or CG smoothers has several new products that will even out skin tone without being a heavy foundation. Most of all, I'd love you to accept the fact that they're beautiful. TMDOLL895: What can make my hair grow and get thicker? Genevieve: There's nothing that you can put on your hair that will make it grow faster, but taking good care of yourself by getting a good night's sleep, eating healthy meals your mom makes, drinking lots of water, will certainly make your hair grow at a normal rate. As for getting thicker strands you can try a volumizing shampoo, skip the conditioner, and use a light detangler, and then use a mousse. it's the best way to "fatten up" fine strands. You can't take anything internally, and nothing you can do to permanently alter the thickness of your hair. There is a new 7 day perm coming out from Ogilvie that will sort of let you try on new texture without any commitment. Any sort of wave or curl will thicken hair, and in a week's time you can find out if you were happy with your fine strands before. That should be on the shelves within a month or so. Rubymoon: I have heard all kinds of crazy things about how to make your hair thicker, from beer to eggs to mayonnaise. Is all that really true? Genevieve: You know, surprisingly, yes! That's one reason that so many companies are starting to tout themselves as having all natural products. In fact things you have in the kitchen can plump up the body in your hair as well as anything you buy in the drugstore or salon. In fact, one of my favorite recipes is to add a tablespoon of powdered gelatin to your everyday shampoo, wash as you usually do, rinse out, and your hair will be noticeably thicker that day. So, there's something to it! Kayla Mich33: I have dark brown hair that's just below my shoulders and it's very wavy. I'm scared to get my hair cut cause I'm afraid it won't look right on my head. I want to get my hair cut in layers, but with the wave I don't think it would look too hot. Any ideas on how to style my hair?
