Carissa Rosenberg: Hi, everyone! Thanks for tuning in!

Sigmagirl: When you decide that you want someone on the cover, how do you go about making it happen?

Carissa Rosenberg: That's a major part of my job. Basically, I contact the talent representative and we work it out, basing it on if they have a current project and when's the best timing to run the cover. Then we set up a photo shoot and interview, and figure out in what way they make the best CosmoGIRL! cover story.

MysteryGirl: Carissa, there seem to be more stars on magazine covers than models recently. What do you attribute this change to?

Carissa Rosenberg: For CosmoGIRL! it's very important to us that our readers learn something from our cover subject. We want them to be role models and have a story to tell with experiences that relate to our readers. Not that models aren't role models but, more importantly, celebrities are hot right now and everyone's interested in them.

Clueless94: How do you actually go about tracking down stars?

Carissa Rosenberg: There are services that can help. For the most part I know how to contact the representative. You usually talk to their publicist - I used to be a publicist myself - so, you develop relationships over time.

Spaceygirl: What is going on with Kevin Spacey now after his Oscar win?

Carissa Rosenberg: Kevin has several projects that he's in production on. He's an amazing actor. The next project he's in is "Pay It Forward." It actually co-stars Oscar nominee Hayley Joel Osment, from "The Sixth Sense."

Bubberand: Of all the CosmoGIRL! covers so far, which one is your favorite?

Carissa Rosenberg: That's really hard to answer because I love each and every cover subject. However, I really had a great time with our May coverguys, 'N Sync. They are so great and so nice and so much fun to be with.

Pepsigirl: Do you find that celebs are high class and used to high treatment, or are they just normal people?

Carissa Rosenberg: I think that's hard to answer. Everyone is different. All our girls that we've worked with and all the celebrities we've worked with were so down to earth - just amazing , talented young people.

WetnWild33: How do you decide who is the next cover?

Carissa Rosenberg: Again, I basically base it on their projects. I spend a lot of time researching them and I pretty much just go from there and find someone that will be interesting to our readers. A lot of it is a 'gut instinct' as well.

CC498: What would be the longest time it has taken to get the shot you want for the cover?

Carissa Rosenberg: We usually are with the talent one day. It can go from five hours to 8 or 9 hours. A usual photo shoot starts at 9am and we usually plan to be with them till 6pm. Sometimes it takes less and sometimes it takes more.
