Welcome Creighton!

Creighton: Hey Everybody!

Cosmochrissy: How did you get started working with celebrities and models?

Creighton: I started by doing movies and television in Los Angeles, and decided to come to New York to expand that. I came to New York, got a job at Bumble and Bumble, I met a couple of editorial hair stylists who introduced me to the fashion industry, and from there I got my agent, and she's the one who manages my career now. As far as celebrities go, that's still by reputation. I have a portfolio, and those get sent out to clients, as well as publicists and magazines.

Roxy: I have thick, coarse hair and I'm tired of it looking basically the same after I tell my stylist to do something different. Do you have any suggestions for a new style and how I can communicate it to my stylist?

Creighton: Absolutely! Educate yourself on products. If it's really coarse thick textured hair, look into Anti-Curl, it's a natural product. It's by RUSK. It won't straighten your hair, but will soften the texture so you can style it. Depending on the length, long layers and thinning, and making sure your stylist is well educated (as far as cutting goes). It always helps to find a variety of photographs, ones that are similar to your hair, ones that show how you'd like your hair, and then taking them in to your hair stylists. Find a common ground, a common thread with your stylist.

Burnt-Girl: How can you take the frizz out of puffy hair?

Creighton: If your hair's a thick course texture, put in a leave in conditioner mixed with a pomade. Let it dry naturally. OR tie it in a bun or let it dry, that always smooths it.

Youknow: How can I make wavy hair straight?

Creighton: A flat iron run through small sections of blown dry hair, and a small dab of an anti-humectant pomade.

Tablina: Do I have to spend tons of bucks on designer hair products?

Creighton: Oh no! If you are buying expensive products, they're concentrated so you can use less. As far as over the counter products go, stuff that you buy at the pharmacy drug store, John Frieda makes great products. Abba is great for shampoos. Neutrogena styling products are fun. I would say find something on sale and explore!

Freak Star: I have long naturally curly hair. But it is so long that is weights it down and makes it kind of frizzy. How can I get is to curl and become unfrizzy

Creighton: Let's see. Use a leave-in conditioner with a pomade and if it's extremely thick a mix-in conditioner. These reduce frizz and make tendril type curls.
