HBO presents Jamie-Lynn Sigler March 4, 2001 Julies: You're from the New York area. Would you ever consider living in Los Angeles? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: Yeah. I think at one point in my life, I might move out there, but I'm a New York girl. I think I might end up on the east coast, in the end. Will: Do you like baked ziti? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: No. Sid: Who are your favorite actors? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: There are so many it's hard for me to pinpoint. I love Sarah Jessica Parker, Joey Roberts, Susan Sarandon, and Tom Hanks. There are too many to name, and, of course, I am partial to the people on my show. Meadow Fan: What's the most interesting aspect of playing Meadow Soprano? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: Watching the way she is going to deal with situations, such as interacting with kids her own age and getting away with everything. Her family is still influencing her life--a major part there. This year has been real fun for me, especially. Gandolfini: If you weren't an actor what would you want to do for a career? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: I'd be a psychiatrist, but for children, because I love children. Mr. Ultimate: How is it to see yourself on TV? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: It's strange, but it is kind of like watching a home video, now. By the time it airs, it was so long ago from the time that we filmed it. Beffie: Do you have any funny stories/mishaps from the set you can share with us? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: There are plenty of funny stories--food fights. There was one time last season where I was angry when he gave me my friend's car. The first time, I broke my nail; the second tape, I closed the door on my foot; and on the third take, I fell down the stairs. It was a disaster, but it was, of course, funny. Meghan: How do you mentally prepare yourself for the more difficult scenes? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: Just kind of take from any kind of similar experience I had or when I drew the same kind of emotion. That's the best way to describe it. I don't have any particular process except for that. I just jump into things, and not really get into the message. LA Comedy: Whom would you like to see be a guest star on the show? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: Hmm. Good question. We have had great guest stars this year. Probably, Keith Ledger or someone to play a boyfriend for me. (smile) NSync Felicia: Which season do you like better, this year or last year's? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: This year! Dave: Do you ever look at any of the web sites that have been created by your fans? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: When I have free time, of course. Yeah! It's very cool! Tyler Durden: What type of movie would you not like to do? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: I guess, horror. Fire Fighter: Where do you like to vacation? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: The Caribbean. Vesekka: Read any interesting books, lately? Jamie-Lynn Sigler: Unfortunately, no, but I know the next book I am reading is called "The Celestine Prophecy," and I need to start reading my Harry Potters. Alkesha: Name one thing you'd like to do during your life that you have yet to do. Jamie-Lynn Sigler: Well, I think it's just something that I started in my recording career, and hoping to do more with that. And obviously, I would like to do movies. Mob Boss: How has life changed for you when you joined "The Sopranos?" Jamie-Lynn Sigler: Only for the better. I have met amazing people. Of course, it has been amazing for my career, and it just brought on new horizons and new things. I just thank God every day.
