Bl: Who are your heroes, both personally and professionally?

Tony Stewart: Professionally, A.J. Foyt. Personally, Jim Dufford.

Cameron: What suggestions do you have for a racecar driver who does not live near a prominent raceway to become noticed by NASCAR?

Tony Stewart: Move closer to the speedway. You have to be somewhere where you can be around tracks that can showcase your talent, and where NASCAR owners can see you.

Mick: When will you be in Rushville to see our students and drive the Martz 32 Midget at the Chili Bowl?

Tony Stewart: We will be in Rushville December 10 for the Toys for Tots event, and I'm not sure I will have the opportunity to run the Chili Bowl this year.

Jay: Hi. Congrats on all your victories. You are my favorite driver. What do you do during the off season? Thanks.

Tony Stewart: Work. And lots of it. We have a lot of appearances, plus we have some fun things that I've wanted to do during my off season, but we don't have a lot of spare time unfortunately.

Donna: Hi Tony, and congrats on a great season. It seems that Zippy has begun talking to you a bit more on the radio. Has this helped in relaxing you a bit more and in keeping you focused on not pushing the car?

Tony Stewart: Absolutely. We've worked together long enough now that he can tell when I'm running too hard and taking it too easily at times. He talks more and he's more comfortable telling me when to slow down, and when to pick up the pace.

Drake67 Fan: Tony, are you prepared to get back in the Midget next week, or is that something that's like riding a bike and you don't forget it?

Tony Stewart: It's kind of like riding a bike. You don't forget. I've been ready all summer to get back in a Midget.

Kimberly4573: Hello Tony. What do you think the rookie class of 2001 will be like? This year's class was awesome!

Tony Stewart: I think they'll be very strong. I don't know if they can top what Dale Jr. and Matt Kenseth did this year, but I think they'll be very close.

Lila: Tony, do you think that you will race in the Indy 500 next year or in the future?

Tony Stewart: Probably not next year, but definitely some time in the future again.

Donna: Did the victory lap with Bobby feel as awesome to you as it looked to the JGR fans?

Tony Stewart: Absolutely. It brought back memories to me of when Bobby and Terry Labonte shared a victory lap when Terry won the championship and Bobby won the race. I was honored to share that moment with Bobby.

Barbie: Are you and Bobby staying team mates in the future? I hope so--you guys make a great team.

Tony Stewart: I don't know how long Bobby's contract is with Joe, but I'm going to be there for the next four years with Home Depot, and I hope that Bobby is there the same amount of time.

Nicole20: What made you want to become a stock car driver?

Tony Stewart: I just like this style of racing more than the Indy style of racing that I was involved in before that.

FLAMIN KY M: Tony, I am from Kansas and work part time for the new Kansas Speedway. Are you looking forward to racing here next season?

Tony Stewart: Yes we are. We have a lot of fans from that area that used to watch us run Midgets and sprint cars in the past. We're looking forward to seeing all those people next year and seeing the new speedway.

Denise: Hey Tony! What a great week for JGR. Do you have any thoughts about DW driving his last race this weekend?

Tony Stewart: I'm happy to be in the same race as him and be a part of his last race.

Cowz Go Moo: Besides winning the NASCAR Championship, do you have any other goals you're working towards?

Tony Stewart: I just want to win as many races and championships as possible.

Paul3822: Hi Tony, I was wondering what paint scheme you are going to have next year?

Tony Stewart: The same one. It's not changing next year.

Kentucky Chick: Where do you want to be in 10 or 20 years from now?

Tony Stewart: On "Survivor."

Denise: It seems to me that you interact really well with kids. Is that just being a role model, or is it something that just comes natural to you? Whatever it is, keep it up because that means a lot to those little eyes looking at you!

Tony Stewart: It's because I am a kid, and I like kids. It comes natural to me.

NASCAR 20 JM: Now that the 2000 season is coming to an end, what do you plan for the off season? Will you be visiting any Home Depot stores to give the employees a chance to meet you? Congrats on another fabulous year of racing and I know I'm looking forward to seeing you race for a long time to come in the beautiful Orange 20.

Tony Stewart: We'll start going to Home Depot appearances after the New Year starts, and we look forward to seeing all the fans at the Home Depots across the country.

C Tony Go: Tony, where did you get the nickname "Smoke"? I'm hoping it refers to what you do on the track and NOT how you do in the kitchen!

Tony Stewart: I got that nickname when I drove sprint cars years ago.
