Blazz24: Denise, I read you are writing a new book. What is it about, and when can we expect to see it out?

DeniseAustin: It's a weight loss, kind of healthy attitude book. The goal is to lose weight, so there will be eating tips, especially how to eat more fiber and soy, and it will be out in April of 2000. I'm looking for men and women who have lost weight to include in the book with before and after pictures, so if you have any, I need them by August 1. Blazz24: Denise, will you continue to do both shows, "Fit & Lite" and "The Daily Workout"? Will there be new episodes of both in January 2000?

DeniseAustin: Yes! All brand new ones come in the year 2000, starting January 3rd for both shows.

Ashton GA: Hi Denise, thanks for your time. I am 23 years old, 5'10", 190 lbs and have seemingly developed huge hips (among other things) overnight. I have been doing the Stairmaster 2-3 weeks for 30 minutes. Is this enough to trim me down, or am I doing a lot of wishful thinking?

DeniseAustin: To slim down your hips, you should do something aerobic to burn fat at least 5 times a week. Do the Stairmaster twice a week, and a fast walk the other days. Fast walking is very good to slim the hips. Do them for 30 minutes. Then, do leg exercises on the floor -- toning leg exercises, lifting up and in. Watch your eating habits, of course - you should be eating about 1500 calories per day.

ThA-RoCk18: What is the best exercise for getting your weight down in the buttocks area?

DeniseAustin: Of course, fast walking is great, as I just said. It's three prong - 1 - aerobics at least five times a week. 2 - specific exercises - squats, lunges, like I do on the show, and 3 - eating a low fat diet. Fiber is great because it helps to soak up some of the fat, and it's in vegetables and fruits that we need on a regular basis.
