NBCi presents Peter Reckell November 07, 2000 Read what Peter Reckell had to say about his role on NBC's "Days of Our Lives." Peter joined the cast of "Days" in 1983 as the hunky Bo Brady. He also chats about his recently released CD, current storylines from the show, and how much he likes his fans. NBCLive: Welcome to NBC Live! Tonight we are chatting with Peter Reckell who plays hunky Bo Brady on NBC's "Days of Our Lives." Peter: Thanks a lot for joining up! Sorry for the last minute change in the time. I just got off the set. As a matter of fact, I'm still in my dressing room. Kristian and I are doing scenes that are pretty exciting. We both have secrets that we are keeping from each other, trying not to hurt one another, about the paternity of John Thomas. So it's making for some pretty exciting scenes. Bosgirl2: Hello Peter, it's great to have you live and chatting with us. How do you feel about the present storyline? Peter: I'm very excited about the Irish story line. It's fun to have Missy Reeves back in the cast. Hopefully, we will continue the story line trying to find out what DiMera's involvement with the Brady was back when my father was in Ireland. Eezbee23: Peter what was it like to actually play an Irish dude? Peter: As you may recall, I played an Irish character when I was on "Knott's Landing," so it was pretty exciting to re-visit that. Bobbie: Peter, when did you first take an interest in singing? Why have you waited this long to release your first CD? Peter: I started singing before I could walk. I grew up in a Baptist church. My mom sang in the choir, so I took piano lessons when I was a kid. So singing has just been part of my upbringing. Musical theater is the kind of music that I have done in my adult life but being married to a producer/record company owner, me doing my own CD came up. And I'm sorry it took me so long, too! The CD was a lot of fun to do. And we've got a new toll free 866 number you can call if you want to get the CD. It's 1-866-NITESUN, 1-866-648-3786. And if you call soon I will autograph your CD in case you want to give it as a Christmas present.
