NBCLive: Welcome to NBC Live! Tonight we are chatting with Kevin Spirtas who plays Dr. Craig Wesley on NBC's "Days of Our Lives." Tonight's chat is brought to you by ESOAPSTARS.COM And now, please welcome Kevin!

Kevin Spirtas: Hello!

BUFFDADDY12: Kevin, - I believe I am the number one fan of "Days of Our Lives" and I love your character and the scenes you are in. I was just wondering how you got in the acting business?

Kevin Spirtas: I practiced! Ha ha! It just started, little by little, I began performing on Broadway, in the musical "A Chorus Line," and I took the show on tour, and came to Los Angeles, and the next thing I knew, I was an actor!

Dawnangel: What sorta things do you get to do for fun?

Kevin Spirtas: I wanted to announce, at this time -- since we are talking about Broadway -- one of the purposes of tonight's chat is to make people aware that I am going back on stage and I'm kicking off my so-called "2001 Tour" of my one man show, called "Give My Regards To Broadway" this New Year's Eve in Lake Charles, Louisiana. At the end of the chat we will give more information for anyone who wants tickets who may be in Lake Charles, Louisiana at that time. For information on how to purchase tickets, you can visit my website at www.kevinspirtas.com or you can call 310-535-9996. But wait till after the chat! Anybody who has any questions about that, feel free; I would be happy to answer them. Dawnangel, I love a lot of sports, water-skiing, jet skiing, and snowboarding, and I also enjoy hiking.

Wish: If you could have one wish for the upcoming new year, what would it be?

Kevin Spirtas: If I could have ONE wish? Well, that we would end the election! (laughing) A personal wish would be to really take off with my one man show and go all over the country, as I'm planning, and people could come to it and enjoy it, and see that I do something besides being Craig Wesley. A lot of people don't know that I sing and dance. And I have to admit, as much as I love to sing and dance, I still love the role of Craig Wesley, so I'm not going anywhere.

Sierra: Do you aspire to act in movies, or do you plan on staying in daytime television?

Kevin Spirtas: I plan on staying right where I am at the moment. However, I don't think that Craig Wesley is the very last role within me. But right now, I'm having a great time playing Craig on "Days." It would be great to do a movie here or there while I am still doing the show. And again, that's another reason why I created the one man show; so I could keep myself creatively stimulated and fulfilled.

Sternchen: What inspired you to do your stage show?

Kevin Spirtas: Well, the Broadway stage is where I began my career, and it's just a different type of performing that I still feel the need to continue doing. It's also that there are a lot of people who don't know I sing and dance, and I wanted people to see that there was another side to my talent…and more than anything, I love performing. I had an inner calling to go back to the stage, and also, as I started to do some of the fans events for "Days of our Lives" I would sing a couple of songs during the show we would put on and it was such a well-received experience, I thought, the fans are calling for it too. So if you know anybody in Lake Charles or you are going to be visiting Lake Charles for New Years, and even if you WEREN'T planning to, come down to Lake Charles, Louisiana and see the show!
