Dr. Correale: Hello everyone, and welcome to the chat I'm happy to answer any questions you have skincare and acne

Kathie: A couple of weeks ago I started noticing zits on my back! Is this normal or should I see a doctor about it. Is there something that I can do to help get rid of them?

Dr. Correale: This is perfectly normal, especially during the summer months. Using a medicated cleanser with anti-acne ingredients, such as the Body Clear Body Wash, can help. You'll also want to change your shirt immediately after a workout.

Britney: Does wearing makeup cause breakouts?

Dr. Correale: In some cases heavy makeup can block pores and lead to blemishes. To prevent this, use a lighter foundation that can treat acne. Make sure you thoroughly cleanse your face each evening as well.

ALLYSON: I've been told that wearing a moisturizer causes pimples. Is this true?

Dr. Correale: In general this is not true. Moisturization can actually help heal acne faster. For acne prone skin, use an oil free, non-comedogenic moisturizer. Or use a moisturizer with acne medication, such as Neutrogena Skin Clearing Moisturizer
