P-G: Welcome! And thanks for joining us tonight as we talk to teen superstar and Grammy Winner Christina Aguilera. She's got a new single being released this week called "I Turn to You.” Welcome Christina!

Christina Aguilera: Hey Everybody!

Rayanne: You're joining us from Argentina. Where is home now?

Christina Aguilera: Home is whatever hotel I'm in at the moment with three suitcases, and a lot of airplanes. Right now I'm a bit homeless, and have been that way, on the road, since the album came out, promoting non-stop. I'm in the process right now of actually moving to LA.

GravityOfLove: Do you ever get to sightsee?

Christina Aguilera: I really have to make time to sightsee. My schedule is so jam packed, and I have to make time. It's kind of sad because you're in these beautiful countries, but by the time my schedule lets out at the end of the day, everything's closed. So it's funny that during my 2-hour lunch break sometimes, I run for the nearest McDonald's and make either a shopping trip or go to the museum check out the architecture. In this case, I just rode this cable car called The Sweet Loaf; and you take this cable car up to the mountains that are way in the sky, really, really high. I'm kind of afraid of heights. On the way down we hiked the trail down the mountain. That has to be the most fun I've had in a long time. Getting dirty was really, really cool for me. Doing something with nature. That's what my most recent events have been as far as sightseeing.

Threepoint2: What's a typical day for you like?

Christina Aguilera: Everyday is pretty different. There are different things to do everyday. I do the same things the press, interviews, Internet, magazines, and newspapers. And then you go on to having photo shoots as well and press conferences to attend, performances and a lot of it is squeezed into one day when you're doing international. Back in the states it's usually one or two things per day, either a show and an interview, or a photo shoot and an interview, which will take the entire day. When you're doing international it's a crazy schedule. You're on a plane everyday. This can be very lonely, especially since you're constantly on the go, living out of a suitcase in a hotel room.

Daiseygirl: Does your family tour with you? Who tours with you?

Christina Aguilera: You kind make a new family away from your family when on a tour or going out promoting records. Your dancers, your band, and the people around you, supporting your career on the business side are your new family. I stopped traveling with family when I was 16. I'm from a family of 5, and my mom has a lot to take care of, including a 3 1/2-year-old brother. So, right now it's about the time I'd be going off to get my college experience. I'd have to leave the house and get my own place. So, this is kind of my own college experience in a weird way.

Trooper127: When did you know you wanted to be a singer?

Christina Aguilera: I have known that I wanted to be a singer since I was pretty much out of diapers. It's how I used to play as a child, lining up my stuffed animals around my room, singing to them, opening up my bedroom window pretending to have an audience watch me as I performed, singing along to my "Sound Of Music" tape up in my room. So, I really found singing to be a true love, a relief and a form of expression to me, all at young age. It's always been a dream to me, looking up to my idols, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and my favorite blues singer Etta James. I had to go with that obviously I'm so glad I did. I'm living my dream.
