Andrea: I know the show is supposed to be a satire of the music industry, but how much truth really goes into it?

Chris Isaak: Thirteen percent. There's as much of the real Chris Isaak in “The Chris Isaak Show” as there is moose in Bullwinkle.

Hot Toddy: Did you watch the show tonight? Or are you superstitious?

Chris Isaak: I don't get Showtime, but I am meaning to subscribe.

Bri: Does the acting come naturally or is this the path to another avenue for you?

Chris Isaak: It doesn't come very naturally. If you watch closely, you can see sometimes a stick or a wire actually used to poke or prod me. At first I would wince, but as the season went on a lot of times they didn't even use the stick. They just used peanut butter in my mouth and then they would dub in the words later.

ChrisFan: It seems like Kenny's part grew. Is he the Silvertone with the most acting ability?

Chris Isaak: He's just louder than the other guys. And if you look carefully you will see Hershel (in Episode 7 and 9) also plays the role of Zelda, an exotic dancer, and he is very convincing.

Clambake: Who would have thought years ago that you would have a show on Showtime? Good to see that there are still people in entertainment who will back quality comedy, not just one-liner, laugh track humor. The first episode rocked, and I'm ready for the next. Does this all feel surreal to you?

Chris Isaak: The only thing that is surreal about it is when I was shopping for groceries today I was carrying my bags and stopped on the corner and looked over and there was a big billboard of my face there. And I looked really good on the billboard, as opposed to real life. I am a kind of a smaller, shabbier version.

Electric Eyes: What celebrities will appearing in your upcoming shows that you are particularly excited about working with?

Chris Isaak: I couldn't list all of them without forgetting some, but we have gone through a Who's Who of washups and rehabs. That's my band and I, and the celebrities with talent on the show.

AmyK: Why so much female nudity? Aren't you afraid you'll alienate your mostly female audience?

Chris Isaak: No. I think the nudity that we have is pretty much played for laughs and we are not trying to make anybody excited by it. If they are excited by our show, I am frightened to think what they would think if they watched rap videos. Most of our sex just demonstrates the point that it is a snare and an illusion.

Isaak Fan 1: Chris, do you feel that your new show will open up your music to an entire generation of people that never even knew of your existence?

Chris Isaak: I don't know.

Brant: Hi, Chris! Great show tonight. I see in an upcoming episode you worked with Stevie Nicks. What was that like?

Chris Isaak: She was very frightened about acting and yet she was a very good actress.

Wicked2: Tonight I was very impressed with your acting talents. Any plans for a movie this year? You have a great sense of humor, too!

Chris Isaak: My agent told me that there are some scripts for me to read, but I am also working on my record and I am aware that they are going to have an actor's strike, so I don't know how that affects things.

Linda L: Hey, Chris, great first show! Did your older brother really used to spit in your face, though? What's the worst prank the three of you ever did either to each other or to someone else?

Chris Isaak: You know, like most kids we did just childish little pranks. Someone would be in a car and you'd fire bullets at them while they were driving or throw flaming things on people when they were asleep. We were incarcerated for several years for those and apparently those are not good things to do, but as kids we didn't know that, you see. I was on the chess club. I didn't do anything!
