BrianS: Hey Everybody! Thanks for stopping in!

Sammy TX: How did you become involved in acting and at what age did you first know that this is what you wanted to do in life?

BrianS: Actually I kind of fell into it. It was in Boulder Colorado, which is where I'm from. There was a big open call for 3 feature films, Milk Money, Lassie, and Forrest Gump. So basically I just waited in line, there were 400-600 people there, waited and got in and auditioned. I did a scene from one of the movies, got in and they really liked me. I went in the next day, auditioned again, they really liked me and went back the next day. They ended up putting 30 people from 400-600 on tape. I was one of them. I didn't end up getting the part, and thought I'd try the acting thing out. I got an agent in Colorado and tried it from there. This was when I was 12 years old.

Kelly: Hi Brian, I have to say I love the show. My question is, what do you have in common with Dylan?

BrianS: Hey Kelly! I have a few things in common with Dylan. We were both raised in a religious home. We both have an older sibling. We both kind of act the same, not too outgoing and not too shy. I think we're nice guys.

FLA Chick: What's your favorite episode ever?

BrianS: My favorite episode ever is one that has not aired yet; the name of it is "Urban Legend"and obviously it's about an Urban Legend in Beachwood. Everybody has a different version, their own of the urban legend. Filming it was really fun; we got to do a flashback thing. Flashback scene, since everybody told it a different way we got to do it several times. It was really fun to explore outside the character of Dylan, I got to be the people "outside" of Dylan. I had a good time doing that.

Sierra: You have starred in guest roles in "The young and the Restless," "Days of our Lives," and "Party of Five." What has been the most rewarding for you?

BrianS: I would say the most rewarding has been this one. This is the first major thing that I've done. The other jobs were great but it was just day work. I was only in that for a couple of days. I'd have to say Just Deal has been the most rewarding.

Melody TX: What would be a typical day for Brian Skala?

BrianS: A typical day -- wake up, go to set. I get into the makeup and hair trailer and get all my makeup done, I go and eat breakfast, then I go to set for blocking for whatever scene we'll be doing that day or that moment. And then I wait for them to light and I shoot the scene. This happens all day long for about 12 hours, and then I'll get off work, and depending on how I'm feeling I'll either go to the gym or relax and watch television. Then I just watch TV till I go to bed and do it again the next day.

Basque 13: Is "Just Deal" the only TV show you have been on?

BrianS: Yes, the only TV show I've had a permanent role on.

Sk8r Grl: Do you think the storylines are realistic?

BrianS: Yes, actually. I think the writers do an excellent job of dealing with teen situations in a realistic way. I think the subjects that they pick, teens can relate to very well. And I think everybody on the show does a great job in not being over the top on the material.
