Warner Bros. Host1: Welcome Chatters, today we're chatting with Sylvester Stallone who will be discussing his upcoming movie, "Get Carter," which hits theaters on October 6. In the new action/drama, Stallone plays a tough guy out for revenge. This is the chat that packs a punch!

Manolis Varnasactor: Hi Sylvester! I wanna say that you are one of the best actors. I liked you in lots of films. My question is what attracted you to play this character in your new movie, and how is the movie difference from the original one

Sly: What attracted me is that it's a very tough character who has not a lot of redeeming qualities and realizes his life has been basically a waste but there is no way out for him. His brother dies suddenly and he basically inherits his brother's family and now becomes a protector of them against some very dangerous people.

Jazz Odyssey: How did you approach playing Jack in "Get Carter", and did you use any objects (like "Cop Land's" turtle) as a symbolic reminder of who Jack Carter was?

Sly: Jack Carter wears very classic '70s silk suits which symbolically represent a kind of armor that separates him from the world. It's like a steel curtain. And he also hides behind these old fashioned '60s sunglasses and adopts a kind of '70s look. This is symbolic of a man who basically does not want to venture into the future.

Chewie69: Is the new "Get Carter" going to be like the original or has it changed a lot?

Sly: The new "Get Carter" is totally different from the original. In the original, Michael Caine was very satisfied being a gangster, and died being a gangster. My character is completely unsatisfied and realizes he's at a dead end and needs to do something positive to salvage one redeeming moment from his wasted life.

Polly Prissy Pants: What was it like to work with Michael Caine?

Sly: I guess it's kind of like getting painting lessons from Picasso. You just sit back and enjoy the experience.

Willy Wanka: Did you enjoy filming in Seattle?

Sly: Yes. I love shooting in Seattle. It is a extremely dramatic city and I had a wonderful time filming "Assassins" there about five years ago.

Princess Jazzmen: What was the craziest thing that happened during the filming of "Get Carter?"

Sly: I would say…Mickey Rourke and I were supposed to do a fight scene and we rehearsed for hours. As soon as the cameras rolled, he got a burst of adrenaline and broke my ribs. And he said, "I'm sorry." I looked across the room and saw Rocky for a moment.

Clickeee: Did you have to work out for this movie?

Sly: Very, very much. In this film, since I played a loan shark collector, I put on almost 20 pounds of muscle and became a very intimidating presence. They had to let my suits out 4 times.
