Warner Bros. presents Mark Wahlberg and David O. Russell August 25, 2000 Actor Mark Wahlberg and director David O. Russell answer questions about their work on Warner Brothers' hit movie "Three Kings." Warner Brothers: Welcome, everyone, to our special DVD "Three Kings" event. We are pleased to have you all here. Welcome to the live Three Kings chat with Mark Wahlberg and director David O. Russell. Watch the DVD and get answers to all your questions about the movie, right here from the star and director. This is how it will work- If you have the "Three Kings" DVD, a DVD-ROM computer, and, of course, an Internet connection, you will be able to watch the movie, ask our special guests questions, and follow their responses. If you will be watching the movie with us, be sure to enter the "Theater" through the DVD-ROM menu for online events. We will send a message to your computer shortly to begin the movie. Don't despair if you don't have all the right equipment. You can still participate in the chat! Please submit your questions throughout the event. If you don't get your question answered right away, keep trying. This chat will be conducted 'auditorium' style, meaning you will be able to submit questions to Mr. Wahlberg and Mr. Russell, and they will respond to them. Due to shear volume of questions, they won't be able to answer all, but we will answer as many as possible. If you experience any technical difficulties, please follow the tech support links on this page. So find a seat, sit back, turn up the volume, and get ready to enjoy the "Three Kings" Virtual Theater! And now, we'd like to introduce our very special guests, Mark Wahlberg and David O. Russell! Keep all your questions coming in! They are looking great! We have loads of great questions. Thanks, everyone. The special guests are here and ready for your questions. Pickme: David, how long were you thinking on this project before it actually started to happen? Can you describe the journey? Three Kings: David: About 18 months. I did a lot of research, and I thought there were a lot of issues that hadn't been looked at in a movie. Krankykewl: Mark, I understand that, at times, you like to do some research on you characters. Is this only for the real people you portray, or is it for all your parts? Three Kings: Mark: For all my parts. Franklindelano: I heard that you (David) had done some war time journalism yourself? Is that true? And if so, did that work inspire you to make this film? Three Kings: David: Yes, I was in Nicaragua in 1982 when the Contra War started. Kimmie: Did you run into any problems while filming in the Arizona desert? Three Kings: David: We had the hailstorm in 80 years, and it knocked the camera over.
