Deb777: How do you keep up on the latest fashions?

Norbert Sy: The best way to keep up with the latest trends is to call and make an appointment at your nearest Macy's By Appointment. A professional shopper will be there to assist and help. It's a complimentary service.

Lovely At Work: I'm in college but still want to be fashionable. Can you suggest a few staples to my wardrobe other than jeans?

Sarah Johnson: A seasonless crepe suit will easily take you into the career world after graduation.

What To Wear: What kind of hats will be in style this year?

Sayareh Farsio: This year, everyone's going to really elegant and fancy bigger hats.

Norbert Sy: For a more casual look, you can do a wonderful beret to go with all the Liz fashions.

Your No1: How much jewelry should a guy wear these days?

Norbert Sy: For a more elegant look, a ring and a watch.

Sayareh Farsio: Cufflinks definitely, for evening, but that's about it.

Norbert Sy: Less is best.

Night Vix: What is the new alternative to your basic black for your eveningwear?

Sayareh Farsio: For evening, definitely, the second choice would be red. Fire engine or cherry red, whatever goes with your complexion. We're getting toward the holiday season, so velvet and satin are definitely in, and sheer fabric, like mesh.

Sarah Johnson: Embellished fabrics too.

Norbert Sy: And very simple in style.

Sarah: I love that red skirt but will the felt material make me look puffy?

Sarah Johnson: No, it's a very slim skirt.

Patti: What color hosiery and shoes would one wear with a red outfit?

Norbert Sy: For a more elegant look, I would choose a head to toe red. Shoes to match the dress, and very sheer black hose, sheer or nude.

Turbo: I work at a start up company so the environment is casual. I'd like to dress professionally, what do you suggest?

Sayareh Farsio: Have a jacket on at all times. No tank tops, no open toe shoes, no logos on T-shirts.

Sarah Johnson: Stay away from denims.

Norbert Sy: Just because it's a casual environment, we still have to look professional. Wear crisp shirts and business-type trousers in wool, especially in fall season. Absolutely no khakis in the wintertime! I'd wear wool.

Sarah Johnson: Seasonless crepes and stretch fabrics work wonderfully. They look crisp and professional, while giving you more ease.

Colorblind: I have trouble with colors, is there a good way to choose clothing so I don't accidentally clash?

Sarah Johnson: Stick with neutrals.

Sayareh Farsio: That's where a personal shopper comes in. Trust your shopper, and use their suggestion.

Norbert Sy: The professional shopper will number the pieces as to what goes with what. That's foolproof!

Fashion Nut: What and who determines what styles and fashions will be "in" at any given time?

Sayareh Farsio: The designers. A lot of times the things you see on the runway are things just for the shows.

Norbert Sy: The buyers will look for a pared down version of the runway show.

Sarah Johnson: It's always important to be comfortable, regardless of what fashion dictates at the time.

Trim And True: What about styles for men? They don't seem to fluctuate as much as for women; is there a reason for this?

Norbert Sy: Trim and True, you should create your own style.

Sayareh Farsio: Men in general are more easy going, and as long as it's clean and pressed, they'll wear it! Women are more interested in the fashion aspect, but men are more into comfort than fashion.

Norbert Sy: More than anything, you clothing needs to be tailored. The length of trousers needs to be perfect.
