tNBC presents Danso Gordon February 8, 2001 Shelby: Do you have a girlfriend? If so, how does she relate to your stardom? Danso Gordon: I do. I do! She is extremely supportive of what I do. Harley Fan: How long have you been acting? Danso Gordon: I have been acting for approximately five and a half years now. Wow! Time flies! The big thing about acting is that you can never stop learning. There is always so much more to learn, and that's what I like about it. Ruby: Danso, I think you are really cool! Do you still plan on working in the medical field someday? Danso Gordon: Thank you. I think you are really cool, too! The medical field? No. I am a science major. I don't plan on using it afterwards. If there is time, I plan on getting my MBA, but acting is my first love and my passion. It's what I am pursuing first and foremost, but I think whatever you do, regardless of what you do, an education is important. That's why I'm still doing both, simultaneously. Roy: Do you miss your homeland of Canada? Any plans of moving back there in the future? Danso Gordon: I miss it a lot. I was just in Toronto about two months ago. It was great. I guess home is where the heart is. It's the sights, sounds, and people that I am used to. So I miss it. Am I ever going back there to live? It's a possibility. Death By Meatloaf: Your name is so cool! Does it mean anything? Danso Gordon: First of all, I think your name is extremely cool, also. My name actually means 'fate'. My mother claims that she named me, and my father claims that he named me. So I'm still not sure which parent gave me the name Danso, but here it is, and here I am. Billy Jean: Have you ever attended an acting school, or something like that, to get where you are today? Danso Gordon: Yes. When I first started, I was pretty much fresh to the entire business. I was lucky enough to be able to learn as I worked. But right now, and for the past two years, I have been in an acting class, which I think is extremely important. Vanessa: Did you ever want to be a professional athlete at anytime in your life? You seem to enjoy so many sports, and you are good at them, too! Danso Gordon: Actually, when I was about 13 or 14, I wanted to be in the Olympics as a professional cyclist. Then, I wanted to run track. After that, I wanted to play football. I played in high school, and I wanted to play for the university. It didn't quite work out, so I tried the acting. Shaqeel: Do you come from a large family, Danso? If so, how do your siblings feel about your success? Danso Gordon: I come from a medium sized family. I have two brothers--one older, and one younger. I also have two sisters--one older, and one younger. They couldn't be more supportive of my success, so far. They are all actually in Canada, so it is kind of tough. Andrew: What's your favorite episode, ever? Danso Gordon: My favorite episode, ever, in the entire world, I would say, has to be a cross between the episode when my aunt died and the episode where I got shot myself.
