JOB DESCRIPTION

Join our dynamic team as a Software Engineer and continue the development of cutting-edge AI based web application solutions. We are seeking a software engineer with strong full-stack engineering fundamentals and advanced applied AI development experience to report to the Vice President of Software. This engineer will play a critical role in developing full-stack AI-based web applications and participate in all phases of software development lifecycle. The role includes integrating AI capabilities into modern web applications using Python and/or similar backend frameworks. Knowledge of machine learning models, NLP techniques, and AI agents is important for this role.

You will work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, real-time AI-driven solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a software developer with experience in NLP, machine learning models, API development and AWS Gen AI to have a direct impact on the growth and success of a dynamic technology company.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Advanced AI application development skills, including hands-on experience integrating AI/ML technologies into scalable web applications.
• Proven Experience: At least 2+ years of experience in web applications integrating AI/ML, with hands-on experience with NLP to enhance preprocessing of data, and AWS Gen AI.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Django and background job processing systems such as Celery.
• Experience building AI agents and familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) concepts.
• Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
• AI/ML Frameworks: Experience with popular AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, BERTopic or similar, with the ability to apply them in production environments.
• Experience with Python for AI/ML development and backend integration.
• Experience implementing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to translate design mockups into functional UI component within web applications.
• Solid skills with git.
• Familiarity with SQL databases (such as PostgreSQL), Elasticsearch, Python, and AWS environments. Experience debugging application issues through logs is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with a remote team of engineers as well as independently.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and can-do attitude.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in CS or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years’ experience
• Knowledge of AI/ML Foundation Models: Familiarity using pre-trained models like GPT, AWS Bedrock models, others
• Knowledge of AWS Bedrock and Gen AI solutions
• Experience with programming languages: Python (for Bedrock workflows), Ruby on Rails or similar and JavaScript framework like Angular JS, React (for full-stack development).
• Business understanding: Ability to translate business problems into ML solutions.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar backend web frameworks, preferred.
• A GitHub profile with open-source contributions.
• Strong practice of TDD/BDD using RSpec, Jasmine, and Cucumber.
• Major plus if familiar integrating with social network APIs like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn APIs.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote work environment.
